Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Getting rid of an unwanted boat in Excelsior is a process that needs to be done by a professional crew. Storm-damaged boats are often unstable, partially submerged, or leaking fuel on Galpin Lake. Only trained professionals with the right equipment can safely haul and dispose of them without causing more property or environmental damage. Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Excelsior isn't as simple as it sounds on Lake Minnetonka. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal near Excelsior is most often triggered by aging vessels left to deteriorate on Lake Minnetonka's smaller coves, particularly around Smithtown Bay and Libbs Lake. Owners who stored boats through harsh winters frequently find hulls cracked beyond repair or motors seized, making professional extraction from the water or a shoreline lift the only practical option.
Dock side removals at Cooks Bay and hauls from the Grays Bay area are also common calls for our crews. Pontoon boats and runabouts left in slips after a sale or estate settlement account for a large share of the work, with families needing full dismantling, documentation, and eco conscious disposal completed quickly and without added stress.
