Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Minnetonka near Libbs Lake is often more challenging than it first appears. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals around the Lake Minnetonka chain often begin when owners abandon aging pontoons and runabouts at public accesses like the Grays Bay Boat Launch or leave them docked past their welcome at Wayzata Bay. Deteriorating hulls in shallow coves near Cooks Bay and Big Island create urgent recovery calls, especially after harsh winters leave vessels partially flooded or ice damaged.
Storage situations also drive many removal requests, particularly when boats left at Jennings Bay or along the Lafayette Club shoreline fall into disrepair and violate local ordinances. Owners frequently discover that a vessel stored on a trailer near Phelps Bay has rotted beyond sale, making professional dismantling and eco conscious disposal the only practical option.
