Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Unwanted boats in Fairplay near Fourmile Creek tend to be more complicated to remove than expected. Specialized cranes or barges may be required. Our team takes down the mast, removes the boat’s equipment and electronics, and cuts off the flybridge if needed. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Don’t worry - our team takes care of that for you, making the whole process simple and stress-free. Relax - we’ve got it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Fairplay most often starts at Eleven Mile State Park, where trailered boats left at the ramp corrode quickly in the high altitude climate. Owners also call us for vessels stranded along the South Platte River after seasonal floods shift hulls off trailers and onto rocky banks, making standard towing impossible without specialized recovery equipment.
Spinney Mountain Reservoir sees a steady number of abandoned aluminum fishing boats and aged pontoons that owners can no longer haul out before winter. We also handle removals from dry storage lots near Antero Reservoir, where older fiberglass hulls deteriorate through Park County's harsh freeze and thaw cycles, requiring careful dismantling before transport to a licensed disposal facility.
