Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
McClave boat owners are discovering that boat removal and disposal takes more time and effort than they realized. Shallow waters or sandbars along Adobe Creek in McClave can make boat transport very difficult. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Because landfills generally do not take large vessels as-is, extra steps like crushing or dismantling are required. We manage this process from start to finish, ensuring your boat is prepared and accepted without hassle. Stress-free boat removal? Leave it to us.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in this part of southeastern Colorado most often involves watercraft left at John Martin Reservoir State Park, where aging motorboats and pontoons are abandoned at the ramp or along the shoreline after seasons of neglect. Adobe Creek Reservoir also sees regular calls for derelict vessel pickup, particularly after winter storm damage leaves hulls cracked and unsalvageable. Property sales near both bodies of water frequently trigger removal requests.
Inland storage situations are equally common throughout Bent County, where farm properties and rural lots accumulate old speedboats and jon boats that have not been in the water for years. The corridor running toward Hasty sees calls for driveway and yard pickups where trailers have rusted to the ground and winches have long since seized. AAA Rousse crews are equipped to handle these landlocked extractions without damage to surrounding fencing or irrigation equipment.
