Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Unwanted boats in Pierron and the Keyesport area tend to be more complicated to remove than expected. Specialized cranes or barges may be required. Our team takes down the mast, removes the boat’s equipment and electronics, and cuts off the flybridge if needed. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Don’t worry - our team takes care of that for you, making the whole process simple and stress-free. Relax - we’ve got it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around this part of Bond County most often starts at Carlyle Lake, where owners abandon waterlogged hulls at the Keyesport Boat Launch or leave neglected pontoons on trailers in seasonal lots nearby. Deteriorating vessels become compliance issues as the season ends, and crews are called in to haul everything from sunken fishing boats to deteriorated deck boats before the launch closes for winter.
Overland removals are equally common, with owners storing aging motorboats and sailboats in farm fields or gravel lots along Route 140 near the Kaskaskia River corridor. When restoration plans fall through, Pierron residents turn to professional haulers to clear these hulls before weather and code enforcement make the situation worse. Full dismantling and eco conscious disposal are often required to close out these long neglected projects.
