Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Trimble near Lake Snowden is often more challenging than it first appears. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Trimble, abandoned or unregistered vessels most often surface along Burr Oak Creek and the quieter stretches of Wolf Creek, where seasonal flooding can strand watercraft on private and public land alike. Owners may lose track of boats after storms shift them downstream, and Athens County officials typically initiate removal once a vessel is confirmed derelict and poses a navigational or environmental hazard.
Boats trailered to the Burr Oak State Park Boat Launch are sometimes left beyond permitted periods, triggering a formal removal process coordinated with Athens County authorities. Recovered vessels are inventoried at the Trimble Storage Yard pending owner notification, auction, or lawful disposal, ensuring waterways remain clear and accessible for active recreational users throughout the region.
